U.K.'s Frontier Developments Gets Licensing Deal for Jurassic World Game

By Adria CalatayudU.K. videogames developer Frontier Developments got a new licensing deal to make a third Jurassic World-themed game. The latest game is slated to launch in the fiscal year ending May 31, 2026, while a new Jurassic World movie is currently scheduled for release on July 2, 2025, Frontier said. Frontier was the company behind the "Jurassic World Evolution" and "Jurassic World Evolution 2" titles, released in 2018 and 2021 respectively, and the two games top the company's portfolio in terms of revenue generated in their first two years, it said. The company said it has sought to adjust its strategy to focus on so-called creative management simulation games such as the first two Jurassic World Evolution games and its "Planet Coaster" and "Planet Zoo" titles. In addition to the third Jurassic World game due in fiscal 2026, the company is working on another game developed from its own content that will be launched in fiscal 2025, and plans another title for fiscal 2027.
