SportOpener Avishka Fernando hammered 138 as Sri Lanka Under-19s beat England Under-19s by 24 runs in the third and final Youth ODI to earn a series whitewash at Canterbury in England on Tuesday (16). Electing to bat first Sri Lanka posted 300 and restricted England for 276 to win the series 3-0 after recording a 1-0 series win in the Youth Tests. Openers Dilan Jayalath and Fernando put on 149 runs for Sri Lanka as the duo laid the foundation to a good total. Ben Green picked three wickets while George Panayi and Ben Twohig claimed two wickets each. England in their run-chase lost wickets at regular intervals despite two good knocks from Ollie Pope and George Hankins.
