SportAfghanistan stunned Sri Lanka with a 32-run victory in a Group 'D' match of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup played at the Cobham Oval in Whangarei, New Zealand a short while ago. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl as Afghanistan justified the invite by plundering 284-7 in 50 overs. Sri Lanka made a poor start and to add more woes came in a rain interruption, after which the target was revised to 235 in 38 overs. Sri Lanka were made to defend after losing both openers quickly before Krishan Arachchige and Jehan Daniel put on 76 runs for the third wicket to put their team on track. But wickets fell regularly as Sri Lanka were eventually bowled out for 202 in 37.3 overs.
