(File photo)A fire in a wrecking yard in Seaview required seven appliances and support crews to bring it under control in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Seven engines, a hose layer and support vehicles were required to bring the blaze under control by 2.18am. “The plume of smoke from the fire had mostly dissipated by 3am and the smoke moved towards the harbour and away from residential areas. With limited wind present at the time of the incident, we consider the risk to public health to be minimal,” Palmer said.
