Two youths, both degree second year students of a private college in Sattupalli, met with a tragic end when they got drowned in an irrigation canal at Tekulapalli village in Penuballi mandal late on Wednesday. Their bodies were found floating in the NSP canal near Tekulapalli on Thursday morning. The police identified the deceased as Sai Teja, 19, and B Saikrishna, 19, belonging to Kallur mandal. Police said the duo arrived at the canal on Wednesday evening for a swim en-route Kallur after attending a marriage in Kandukur village in Vemsoor mandal. Police suspect that one of the duo tried to capture the pictures of the canal on his mobile phone camera minutes before the incident.
