Two young men have been badly injured in a single-car crash in Paraparaumu. The driver, in his late teens, suffered a head injury when the car hit a tree in suburban Realm Dr about 8.30am on Tuesday, Wellington Free Ambulance shift manager Mark Osborne said. On Tuesday evening, one was in a critical condition in intensive care, and the other was stable on a ward. It took about an hour for firefighters to extricate the passenger from the car.
