(Photo: Amporn Sangkaew)CHON BURI - Two young women on a motorcycle crashed into a lowered railway crossing barrier and were then run over by a freight train and killed about an hour before dawn on Sunday. Na Jomtien police said the accident at a level crossing in tambon Na Jomtien of Bang Lamung district occurred about 5am. Train number 4504, hauling a load of crude oil tankers, was stopped about one kilometre further down the line from the level crossing. A level crossing official said security camera footage showed that after the barriers were lowered the women’s motorcycle had hit one of the arms.
