KUALA TERENGGANU: Two traffic policemen from Dungun Police Station died when they were hit by a lorry at KM139 Jalan Kuala Terengganu - Kuantan at 2.55pm on Wednesday. “Both victims were participants of the In-Service Training convoy (LDP), riding on a long-distance on heavy motorcycle from Mersing, Johor to Kuala Terengganu. “On arriving at the scene of the incident, the lorry suddenly entered into the path of the convoy, probably because the driver had lost control of the vehicle. Both victims were believed to have been unable to avoid the lorry,” he said when contacted by Bernama here today. The duo were thrown onto the shoulder of the road by the impact of the lorry and died instantly due to severe head and body injuries.
