A tradesman has died and another is fighting for his life after scaffolding nine-storeys high collapsed at a construction site, crushing the two men. Dramatic pictures from the scene showed despondent construction workers sitting on the ground desperately awaiting news. Up to 350 construction workers were at the site every day, which was run by by construction company Ganellen. The company's website described the apartment block as one that: 'Offers superior design, green open spaces and an unparalleled lifestyle'. The apartment block was part of the 'Lachlan's Line' project by Greenland Australia, which planned to develop 900 apartments across six blocks in the booming suburb.
