Superintendent of Police Mizanur Rahman said that they laid siege to a house in Moheshpur Upazila's Bajrapur village late on Saturday, after intelligence indicated it was used by Islamist radicals. He said counter-terrorism personnel from Dhaka joined local police to start operations targeting the house . "As the exchange of fire intensified, a huge explosion was heard from inside the house," Rahman said. "Two persons have died, one possibly in a suicide explosion," he added. Police and counter-terrorism personnel have been confronted with such suicide explosions in Sylhet, Moulavibazar and many other places in the country, whenever they have raided hideouts of the neo-JMB this year.
