Two seriously injured in South Taranaki crashDAVID WALKER/STUFF Two people were seriously injured in a car accident in Hawera on Tuesday morning. Two people were seriously injured when their car crashed in South Taranaki on Tuesday morning. The accident happened at 5.30am on Denby Rd, Hawera, and the road is still closed, a police spokesman said. One person was taken by ambulance to Taranaki Base Hospital, the other flown by the Taranaki Rescue Helicopter to Waikato Hospital, she said. The Police Serious Crash Unit was investigating.
