Two runners have collapsed and died moments after finishing the Cardiff half marathon. One of the athletes was a man in his thirties who was taken ill in front of his wife and one-year-old child. The other was a man in his twenties who completed the race with his girlfriend who tragically saw him collapse. Organisers of the Cardiff Half-Marathon said everyone connected with the race was 'devastated'More than 25,000 people took part in the race which started at Cardiff Castle at 10am this morningThe event, organised by Run4Wales, started at Cardiff Castle at 10am today. The popular event which started in 2003 is now the second largest half marathon in the UK, behind the Great North Run.
