Two prisoners were captured alive in the US strike that killed ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley announced that two people had been taken into custody and are being held at a secure location during a press briefing alongside Defense Secretary Mark Esper on Monday at the Pentagon. Milley did not reveal any additional information about the detainees or how they were connected to al-Baghdadi, but they are believed to have surrendered during the raid. Milley could not confirm President Donald Trump's description of al-Baghdadi as 'whimpering and crying' in his final moments. Al-Baghdadi's remains were taken to a secure facility to confirm his identity with forensic DNA testing, Milley said.
