Two people injured after gas leak at Paraparaumu supermarketMARION VAN DIJK/FAIRFAX NZ A leak at a Countdown supermarket on the Kapiti Coast left two people with injuries. Two people have been injured by inhaling a harmful gas during a refrigerant leak at a supermarket in Paraparaumu. A Fire Service spokesman said the leak was from one of the freezers at Countdown supermarket in the Coastlands Shopping centre. Another person was treated and given the all clear to return home by Wellington Free Ambulance staff. In a statement, Countdown's general manager of corporate affairs James Walker said the gas that leaked was a standard refrigerant gas, which was not toxic.
