A central fire communications spokesman said the house was well alight when several fire crews arrived. Two people are in hospital after a large house fire in Lower Hutt overnight. He said two people were taken to hospital for treatment. Fire crews were called to a two-storey home on Major Drive, in Kelson, at about 1.30am. - NZ Herald
