A police spokeswoman said they were called to the first assault in Addington about 5:45pm on Friday. Later in the evening, at about 8pm, police responded to an assault in Aranui, which left a man with serious to moderate injuries. No one has been charged in relation to the incident and police were continuing to make enquiries on Saturday morning.
