A man and a woman, both believed to be in their 50s, are dead after a two-alarm fire broke out in a garage in Mississauga Sunday night. Emergency services were called at a home in the area of South Millway and Burnhamthorpe Rd., east of Erin Mills Parkway just after 7:30 p.m. for reports of a car on fire in the garage. Mississauga fire platoon chief Alan Hills said when they arrived, flames could be seen at the home. He said two people were pulled without vital signs from the main floor of the home. Following attempts of resuscitation, Peel paramedics say the man was pronounced dead at the scene while the woman was taken to hospital.
