Tour de Rock rider and Ucluelet RCMP officer Marcel Midlane took this picture during a recent group training ride around Nanoose Bay. A pair of not-to-miss fundraisers for Tour de Rock are being held in the coming days in Ladysmith. The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in support of Tour rider and Nanaimo RCMP Cst. The second event is an outdoor family movie being put on by Ladysmith town council (as volunteers) on Aug. 15 in support of Ladysmith Tour de Rock rider Lindy Skutnik. Members of council and the local Tour de Rock committee will be barbecuing hot dogs and making popcorn.
