Two new metro lines are opening in Shanghai tomorrow


The line has 31 stations along its route, with 13 interchanges where you can transfer to other lines, including Wuning Lu (Lane 13), Jingan Temple (Lane 2 and Lane 7), Huangpi Nan Lu (Lane 1), Lujiazui (Lane 2) and Lantian Lu (Lane 9). Another line opening tomorrow is Phase One of Line 18 from Changjiang Nan Lu in Baoshan district to Hangtou in Pudong. That will stop at stations such as Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Fudan University and Longyang Lu, where it connects with another five Shanghai Metro lines (Line 2, 7, 16, 18 and Shanghai Maglev). Notably, both of the new lines are driverless, with operating hours between 5.30am to 10.30pm (last train’s departure). And It’s about to become even more convenient by tomorrow (Thursday 30) when the city opens two more metro lines – Line 14 and Phase One of Line 18.
