KOTA KINABALU: Two Bornean pygmy elephants were found dead in two separate oil palm plantations in Sabah’s east coast recently. Today, Sabah Wildlife Department was notified of another adult female elephant found dead in Ladang Tangkulap IOI in Sandakan. This was the third elephant death recorded this year. In January, the department was investigating an elephant death at a plantation in Sukau. Last year, there were 25 elephant death cases recorded in Sabah.
