Two more men due in court in connection with alleged plot to bomb Galway mosque


Two further men are due to appear in court this morning in relation to an alleged extreme-right terror plot to bomb a mosque in Galway. They were arrested this morning in Limerick and Laois by detectives from the Special Detective Unit, the Garda’s anti-terrorism section. It brings to four the number of people charged in Ireland in connection with the cross-border case, which involved the Police Federation of Northern Ireland. Two men, one from the North and the other from the South, have already appeared before the courts in Ireland and charged. The statement said: “Two other males currently before the courts, will be further charged in connection with this investigation, also before Portlaoise District Court this morning.
