Two more individuals have been arrested for their suspected involvement in an incident in which a black-clad group threw an unknown white powder at CUHK security guards, bringing the total number of people caught over the case to seven. Several black-clad individuals charged the security barrier at the guard post near University MTR station in Sha Tin on January 11. The group reportedly knocked down railings and threw an unknown white powder at guards before fleeing in different directions. He was sent to Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin for treatment. The seven were said to be arrested for offenses including unlawful assembly, disorderly conduct in a public place and assault.
