With these arrests, the total number of persons arrested has gone up to eight, including the alleged kingpin of the toppers’ scandal, Bachha Rai. Two more persons, who were allegedly “working” for former Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Chairman, Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh, who is absconding, were arrested here on Sunday in connection with the State intermediate examination scandal. Mr. Singh’s wife has been made a ‘non-FIR’ accused. Ajit and Sandeep had confessed to their crime, while Usha Sinha was absconding, he added. Both (Ajit and Sandeep) were “working as agents” for Lalkeshwar Singh and were in constant touch with Singh’s wife and a former JD(U) MLA Usha Sinha, the SSP said.
