Two men were rescued by the Wellington Police Maritime Unit after their boat sunk in Wellington Harbour on Saturday. Police have praised two men who are believed to have been lucky to survive after being plucked from Wellington Harbour on Saturday afternoon after their boat sank. The pair managed to jump off the sinking boat and were found floating in the water one kilometre off Somes Island, shortly after midday. The men noticed water flooding into the hull of the boat as soon as they got up to speed.
