Two men docked for allegedly assaulting IBEDC official on dutyTWO men were on Thursday brought before an Ota Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ogun for allegedly assaulting an official of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) on duty. Ayeni Adeniyi, 48, and Eniola Olatunde, 19, whose addresses were not provided, are facing a two-count charge of assault and breach of peace. Abdulkareem Mustapha told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Jan. 23 about 2.45p.m at Eleidi Bright Estate in Ota. He said that the offences contravened Sections 351 and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006. The Chief Magistrate, Mr Mathew Akinyemi, granted each of the accused bails in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties each in like sum.
