Two men caught red handed selling stolen heavy machinery parts

MIRI: Two men thought they could make some easy money by selling excavator parts stolen from a house in Kampung Bidayuh, Ulu Sungai Dalam. Sarawak Criminal Investigation Department chief Datuk Dev Kumar said the owner, a 19-year-old self-employed man, suspected the heavy machinery parts was his when he spotted the duo. “The complainant later rushed home, which confirmed his suspicions that that the excavator parts placed outside of his house have been stolen. At about noon, the man found the Proton Iswara with the heavy components inside the car parked outside a second-hand dealer shop in Jalan Riam here. “They apprehended the suspects and alerted the police, who arrived soon after to pick up the two men, aged 31 and 38,” he said.
