Jennifer Shah, 47, of Park City, Utah, and Stuart Smith, 43, of Lehi, Utah, were arrested in Utah on charges including conspiracy that were unsealed in New York City, authorities announced. In actual reality and as alleged, the so-called business opportunities pushed on the victims by Shah, Smith, and their co-conspirators were just fraudulent schemes, motivated by greed, to steal victims’ money”. Shah and Smith are expected to appear at a virtual New York court hearing on Wednesday afternoon. Shah’s attorney Sam Meziani declined comment as he exited the court with Shah, who remained silent as she walked to her car.
