Spectators in close proximity to the track before the racecar veered off road [COURTESY]Two people died and eight more were hurt after a rally car careered off the road in northern Portugal. The two people who were killed have been named locally as civil servant Jose Avelino Cruz and Maria Constancia Ferreira de Andrade, both 55. Two of the eight people hurt, one of whom is a firefighter, are said to be serious. Driver Luis Silva’s BMW had already passed the finish line when he went off the road. The man and woman who were killed are both from Murca.
