KAJANG: Two men, one of them disabled, perished when the Perodua Viva they were travelling in collided with a lorry that was allegedly running a red light in Taman Pelangi, Semenyih here. Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Othman Nanyan said police had recorded the statement of a passerby who had witnessed the lorry running the red light. “The lorry did not stop when the light turned red and crashed into a Viva coming from the opposite direction. “The Viva driver was making a turn after the traffic light turned green on her side of the road,” he said. ACP Othman said the lorry driver was nowhere near the scene when authorities arrived, although he had left behind his vehicle.
