The remains of a light aircraft that caught fire after coming down near Nutts Corner, Co Antrim, yesterday PACEMAKER PRESSTwo people died yesterday when a light aircraft crashed and caught fire in Co Antrim. The plane came down close to a wooded area near Nutts Corner, three miles from Belfast International Airport, shortly after midday. Paramedics, firefighters, an air ambulance and police went to the site after the plane caught fire. Roads near the crash were closed to allow emergency services to attend. A statement from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said “no patients were taken from the scene”.
