Two killed as car hits motorcycle in cityDHAKA, June 30, 2023 (BSS) - Two persons were killed and a child wounded as a car hit their motorcycle in the city's Kurmitola area today. The deceased were Jannatul Ferdous Jannat, 20, a college student and her cousin Shamim Mridha, 35, an employee of Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC). Their niece Sadia, 8, has been undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Cantonment thana sub-inspector Rashedul Islam said the accident occurred in the street in front of Golf Club adjacent to Kurmitola General Hospital around 2am on Friday. He said police arrested the private car's driver Sayeed Nabi and seized the car just after the accident.
