Two people have been killed after three motorcycles crashed in Southland today. Initial reports suggested four people had been involved in the crash, and at least two motorcycles, police said. However it has been confirmed that there were three motorcycles and three riders involved in the crash, police said. The road is expected to be closed around the crash scene for some time. The Serious Crash Unit will be investigating.
