The deceased were labourer Pashan Ali, 65, and an unidentified infant, said Chouhali Upazila Nirbahi Officer Dewan Mowdut Ahmed. Caught in turbulent waves, the boat capsized in the afternoon, said Chouhali police station OC Rashedul Islam Biswas. Around 30-40 passengers managed to swim ashore when the boat capsized in the Sthalchar area. Meanwhile, in Netrokona, two people went missing when their boat capsized in the Shomeshwari River in the Khaliajuri area of Mohanganj upazila, reports our Netrokona correspondent Hanif Ullah Akash.
