Two people have been injured, one seriously, when their vehicle crashed off a road and into a tree in Waimate on Christmas Day. A St John spokeswoman said they were transported to Timaru Hospital after a single-vehicle crash on Horgans Rd, about 7.30pm on Wednesday. Two Waimate fire crews and police helped load the patients into the ambulance, the spokeswoman said.
