The passenger vessel hit the rock in Milford Sound about noon yesterday. Two people suffered minor injuries when a boat carrying 39 tourists crashed into a rock during a seal-watching cruise in Milford Sound yesterday. Radio New Zealand reported the passenger vessel, operated by Real Journeys, hit the rock about noon. The boat, which appeared to have superficial damage, had been taken out of service for a full inspection. An internal investigation was under way, and Maritime New Zealand had been notified.
