(CNN) Two former Houston Police officers involved a botched raid that left two people dead were indicted Wednesday by a Texas grand jury, prosecutors said. The second former officer, Steven Bryant, was indicted for tampering with a government record, Ogg said. "In this case, because officers lied, people died," Ogg told reporters. The two officers were part of the tactical team that was involved in a raid of a home on January 28, 2019 that killed Rhogena Nicholas and Dennis Tuttle and their dog in the home. The raid injured several Houston officers on the team, including Goines.
