Senior Principal Magistrate Felix Kombo gave Mr Felix Nzomo Mutinda and Mr Fredrick Omanya an option of paying fines totalling to Sh800,000. Mr Mutinda was directed to pay a fine of Sh500,000 after he was found guilty of two counts whereas Mr Omanya will part with a fine of Sh300,000 for one count of receiving a bribe. While passing the sentence, Mr Kombo said although the duo were first offenders and held junior positions at EACC, their action exposed the commission to public ridicule and contempt. On second count Mr Mutinda is said to have received Sh50,000 as inducements not to cancel LPO for supply of cameras to EACC. Mr Omanya was accused of receiving Sh28,000 bribe.
