This wasn’t your typical parking lot fight. It involved two elderly women. York Regional police said they’re investigating after they received a call that two women in their 70s got into a cane duel, screaming and shouting at each other just after 11 a.m. at a No Frills store at Bathurst St. and Centre St. in Thornhill. Andy Pattenden said by the time officers arrived, the fight had ended without injury, with one woman trying to take off in a Dodge Caravan and the other going inside the grocery store to shop for food. He says police spoke to both women, although he says the one inside the store didn’t want to talk and wanted to keep looking for produce.
