Two people have died and another has been hospitalised after a fire broke out in a multi-storey building in Terry Bazar, Chattogram. Chattogram Medical College Hospital declared two people dead at 11:50 am on Thursday, according to Sub-Inspector Nurul Alam Asheq of the hospital’s police outpost. The dead were identified as Mohammad Yunus, 52, and Md Solaiman, 28, both from Patiya in Chattogram, bdnews24.com reports. Deputy Assistant Director of Fire Service Atish Chakma said seven shops on the fourth floor, including tailoring and clothing outlets, were burnt in the blaze. The multi-storey building houses garment shops, tailoring units, and clothing outlets across several floors.
