He also said Sunday was "the best bet for more snow" at Queenstown ski fields and Cardrona could expect strong winds to continue until Wednesday. Thousands of keenskiers formed a traffic jam on Cradrona ski field road first thing Friday morning as they received a 35cm snow dump over the last two days. But on Thursday Coronet Peak also had a snowstorm, boosting the snow level to 45cm and a metre. However, Cordrona wasn't lacking snow this winter while Queentown's Coronet Peak was closed for skiers during the Winter Festival two weeks ago.
