Two Kisumu police officers slashed each other with a panga as they allegedly fought over a Sh3,000 bribe from chang’aa brewers. A quarrel then allegedly ensued over how to share the bribe, with one officer demanding a bigger share. A source told the Star the officers from Dago police post released the brewers they had arrested on Tuesday after they were given the cash. “It was a bad fight and the other officer also grabbed the panga and slashed the first officer and inflicted serious injuries to him,” he said. This made his colleague slash him in the head, shoulder and arm.
