KARACHI: Two policemen were injured and a robber arrested during an encounter in Orangi area of the city on Thursday. According to police sources, the crossfire took place in Orangi town’s Benazir Colony, where police arrested one robber Hashmi Ali, aged 30, son of Adil, in injured condition while two policemen Javed Iqbal and Asif Khan also received bullet injuries. Five robbers, however, managed to flee. The police recovered a TT pistol, 22 bullets, a mobile phone and two motorcycles from his possession of arrested robber. The police have registered a case and started further investigation.
