KUANTAN: A man was charged in a magistrate’s court here with discharging a firearm, while two policemen were charged with being accomplices. The offence was committed at about 5.30am at a house in Batu 9 here on Nov 25. He was charged under Section 3 of the Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act 1971 for discharging a firearm in the commission of a scheduled offence. Police constables, Muhammad Shafiq Sa'ari and Muhamad Amin Pauzi, were also charged with being accomplices to the same offence. The two charges fall under Section 3A of the same Act for being accomplices in the discharge of a firearm.
