Two children have drowned in the Jhenai River in Tangail. The victims have been identified as five-year-old Sonali, and seven-year-old Sirumi hailing from Kashil Paschimpara village in Basail upazila. They had been missing since Thursday afternoon after going out to bathe in the river. Locals recovered their bodies around 8pm and took them to Tangail General Hospital where doctors pronounced them dead.
