more-inA newborn baby found abandoned at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) was handed over to Saranalayam children's home in Kinathukadavu on Tuesday. The baby was found abandoned near the Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (CEmONC) ward in March. The baby was taken care at the neonatal ICU of CEmONC ward as it had low birth weight. A four-day-old boy weighing 2.75 kg was discarded by parents from Anuparpalayam in Tirupur on Friday. Another 11-day-old girl weighing 1.2 kg was discarded by parents hailing from Kadampadi village near Sulur on Sunday.
