HABIGANJ, Sept 21, 2023 (BSS) - A court here today sentenced two people to death in sensational Modinatul Kubra Jerin murder case in 2020 in Sadar upazila of the district. Judge of Habiganj Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-2 Sudipta Das handed down the verdict to Jakir Hossain, hailed from Dhal village in Sadar Upazila and Nur Hossain, an inhabitant at Patli village. Convicts Jakir and Nur Hossain took position in the CNG earlier. Following her death, Jerin's father filed a case in 2020 and police held Jakir and Nur Hossain. Testifying witnesses and evidences, the court gave the order in presence of Jakir Hossain.
