The Qambar-Shahdadkot police arrested on Wednesday two persons nominated in an FIR lodged over an attack on a college professor a day earlier. Assistant professor Abdul Jabbar Junejo was reportedly attacked by over half a dozen men near Government Degree College Shahdadkot on Tuesday afternoon. "Armed men attacked [me] on my way to home," Junejo told The Express Tribune, saying he was badly beaten. In the FIR, a copy of which is available with The Express Tribune, Junejo alleges that those involved in the attack had occupied college land. College professors from the Sukkur region also visited Junejo and warned of protests in different cities if the perpetrators were not arrested.
