The two nurses are receiving treatment after being attacked by patients who wanted to be attended to on Saturday night. Nurses union officials yesterday assembled at Mama Lucy Hospital to condemn what they termed rising cases of attacks on caregivers. Kenya National Union of Nurses Nairobi secretary Edia Muruli said health professionals have always given their best and must be respected and protected. Early this year, a Nairobi South Hospital nurse was attacked by a Somali couple for demanding they sign an “Against Medical Advice Form”.
