Two appear in court after death of Mt Wellington manMICHAEL BRADLEY/FAIRFAX NZ Two people appeared in the Manukau District Youth Court charged with assault with intent to injure. The two co-accused appeared before Manukau Youth Court Judge Andrew Becroft on Monday afternoon where lawyers advanced bail applications for both of them. A 21-year-old and a 16-year-old were charged with assault with intent to injure following the death of the man in the Auckland suburb of Mt Wellington in the early hours of Saturday morning. Two men accused of assaulting a 42-year-old man who later died have been denied bail. Emergency services were called to the scene of the alleged attack just after midnight but the victim died shortly afterward.
