Reigning world champion Peter ‘Snakebite’ Wright could rise to world no.1 for the first time in his career with a good showing. The 25-year-old from East Calder takes on five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld in the third round in Minehead. He heads into his third UK Open event sitting one place behind his Dutch opponent in the current world rankings (55th) and will be keen to build momentum following his impressive exploits earlier this year.
